Two Ailing Horses Used for Weddings Left for Dead in Delhi NCR—PETA India Facilitates Rescue

Two ailing horses used for weddings were abandoned and left for dead in Delhi NCR. PETA India worked with the Mayur Vihar Police Station, Delhi, and Madhuban Bapudham Police Station, Ghaziabad, to rescue the animals after passersby shared videos. PETA India stated that forcing horses to work on hard roads often leads to painful conditions like osteoarthritis and collapse. One horse was moved to a sanctuary, while the second horse was handed over to Kannan Animal Welfare and later transferred to PETA India, where she succumbed to her injuries.
