A study in Assam, India, examined how tea estate health systems perceive and respond to rabies risk, particularly among marginalized communities. Through in-depth interviews with healthcare and labor representatives, the research identified five key factors affecting responses to rabies, including inequities in access to treatment and limited health literacy. The findings suggest that the current approach is mostly reactive, indicating a need for more proactive measures in rabies prevention.
