A study conducted at a rural health training center in Santhpur, Bidar, Karnataka, from February to May 2026, analyzed dog bite incidents among 63 patients. Most victims were young males, with a significant number of bites occurring in the evening and involving stray dogs. The majority of injuries were categorized as less severe, but a notable lack of rabies immunoglobulin treatment for more severe cases was identified as a public health issue.
