Research conducted between 2011 and 2024 in the Jaisamand Wildlife Sanctuary area of Rajasthan, India, examined human-leopard conflict, finding 572 incidents primarily involving livestock loss. The study identified various factors influencing these conflicts, including land use and proximity to human habitation, with livestock being particularly vulnerable due to inadequate husbandry practices. Local attitudes toward leopards were generally neutral, influenced by education levels, and there were no reported retaliatory killings of leopards.
