BMC plans Mumbai’s first stray dog shelter in Malwani

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is working on establishing Mumbai’s first shelter for stray dogs in the Malwani region. This initiative aims to address the needs of the city’s stray dog population. The project was announced on March 11, 2026.
