NGOs to be roped in for ABC, animal care

The government announced plans to involve non‑governmental organisations in the Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme and related animal‑care activities. The initiative aims to expand the reach of sterilisation and welfare services across the country. The announcement was made on 26 June 2026.
