Over 9,000 animal cruelty cases in 2024; Maharashtra tops states, J-K leads UTs: NCRB

In 2024, there were more than 9,000 reported cases of animal cruelty in India. Maharashtra recorded the highest number of cases among states, while Jammu and Kashmir had the most cases among Union Territories.
