Jain saint’s animal camp in Mumbai conducts 101 complex veterinary surgeries in 2 days
Stray dogs and other animals received complex veterinary surgeries at a free medical camp in Ghatkopar, Mumbai. The NGO Arham Always Care organised the two-day camp on October 21 and 22 in collaboration with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, Thane animal husbandry department, and other bodies. More than 200 veterinary professionals treated stray and abandoned animals along with cattle for conditions such as tumours, hernias, and eye disorders. Medical teams performed operations lasting up to five hours and removed massive tumours weighing up to 50 kilograms. Minister of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Pankaja Munde visited the site and appreciated the seamless organisation.
