Antibody response following rabies vaccination: a retrospective cohort study from a tertiary centre in Kerala, India.

A study conducted at a preventive clinic in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, assessed the antibody response after rabies vaccination among 150 participants. Results indicated that 92.7% had protective antibody levels, with a mean titer of 3.81 IU/ml, and found that five years since the last vaccination is an optimal time for a booster dose. The research noted that antibody levels were generally high regardless of whether the vaccination was intramuscular or intradermal.
