Rabies is a significant public health issue in India, contributing to a large number of human deaths globally each year. A study evaluated TwinRab™, a monoclonal antibody cocktail meant to replace traditional rabies immunoglobulins, and found it remains effective and stable under normal storage conditions. TwinRab™ demonstrated significant survival rates in a hamster model, suggesting it could serve as a reliable alternative for rabies post-exposure prophylaxis, especially in areas with limited resources.
