Case filed against dog catcher in Nalgonda over stray dog relocation

A case has been filed against a dog catcher in Nalgonda for illegally relocating stray dogs. Nalgonda Police registered the case on May 7, 2026, after a complaint from the Stray Animal Foundation of India alleged that the accused dumped stray dogs in a nearby forest on March 30, 2026. The accused faces charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. Sub-Inspector J. Shiva Kumar is leading the ongoing investigation.
