A study conducted at a tertiary care anti-rabies clinic in Northern India examined the psychological distress and coping strategies of 100 animal bite victims undergoing rabies post-exposure prophylaxis. Participants, aged 12 and older, were assessed on multiple days for anxiety and stress levels, which decreased significantly over 28 days, though higher distress was linked to more severe bites. Factors such as bite severity, age, and socioeconomic status affected the participants' psychological responses.
