A monthly survey was launched to track birds at Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary in Chandigarh. The initiative involves monitoring avian species and recording population numbers to assess habitat health. The findings will help authorities guide future conservation steps for local wildlife. The Chandigarh forest and wildlife department will collaborate with the Wildlife Institute of India for this study, and local residents will be invited to participate as volunteers.
