How are animal welfare NGOs in India listed in the Directory?

From public records, such as AWBI’s list of recognised organisations, NGO Darpan, state animal husbandry lists and legal services authority lists. Each listing names its sources and dates under Sources, as the Directory shows.

What does 'Verified' mean on a listing?

The listing has been checked with the organisation, per our editorial policy . It shows the date it was verified. Others say they come from public records and haven’t been confirmed.

How do I correct a listing?

Use ‘Report a mistake’ on the listing, or ‘Claim this listing’ if it is your organisation. You can also contact us with the page link and what is wrong.

How do I add my organisation to the Directory?

Use the contact form and choose ‘List your organisation’. Send its name, district, services and how people can reach you.

How do I search animal welfare NGOs in India near me?

On the Directory , search by name or PIN code, or filter by state, district, type (such as Gaushala or Animal shelter) and service. You can also browse by state.

Is it free to list my organisation in the Directory?

Yes, for now. Listing an organisation in the Animal Writes Directory costs nothing at present. Send your organisation’s details to be added.
