A study conducted in Jaipur, India, from September 2025 to February 2026 surveyed 349 adults to assess their knowledge about rabies and its treatment. While most participants were aware that rabies is preventable with timely intervention, many had critical misconceptions, such as believing rabies can be cured after symptoms appear and that vaccination offers immediate protection. The findings highlight the need for improved communication regarding rabies treatment among individuals seeking post-exposure care.
